Bendigo Art Gallery
The Bendigo Art
Gallery was established in 1887 in the former home of Bendigo
Volunteer Rifle. A highly regarded local architect W. C. Valhand
oversaw the renovation of the former orderly room to make way
for years of showcasing artist’s work. After the initial
transformation, an addition to the gallery was added which
resembles the Tate Gallery of London, and now a new contemporary
wing.
