Katoomba
The most
visited town in the Blue Mountains offers a wide variety
of attractions, from the Scenic Railway (steepest incline
in the world), the Sceniscender (steepest aerial cable
car in Australia), a number of lookout points and natural
attractions and in the town itself, historical attractions.

The Three Sisters
A not-too-difficult
bushwalk out of Katoomba takes you to this natural feature,
a magnificent natural rock formation, which is the subject
of a Aboriginal legend.

Jenolan Caves
Australia's
most famous and impressive limestone caves in nearby
Oberon, the nine caverns are spectacularly lit and are
accessible for most reasonably fit visitors.

Lithgow Zig
Zag Railway
Located
in the town of Clarence, this aptly named railway makes
its curving way through the landscape, taking passenger
through not only the scenic landscape of the Blue Mountains,
but also its history.

Mount Victoria
The highest
peak in the Blue Mountains is the site of a town by
the same name, which offers visitors a number of attractions,
from the lookouts with a spectacular view (Sunset Rock
& Mitchell's Ridge), caves to explore (Cox’s Cave, Ross
Cave and Bushranger Cave) and historic buildings in
the town itslef.

Wilson & Mount Irvine
Most famous
for some of the area's most spectacular gardens (which
are open to the public), these two areas are perfect
for a picnic outing, in particular the area near the
'Cathedral of Ferns'. There are also attractions such
as Wynne’s Rock Lookout, Du Faurs Rock, and Pheasants
Cave.
