Brisbane International Motor Show

This huge motor show showcases all the new & exciting in the automotive world with every make for sale plus the latest concept cars, feature exhibits, as well as some real exotic and classic automobiles. A must for auto-enthusiasts.

 

Chinese New Year

6 - 10 Feb

The Brisbane’s Chinatown streets burst with life and color displays, traditional lion and dragon dances. The huge Chinese New Year party includes the loud and extravaganza fireworks and firecrackers display. 

 

2008 4MBS Festival of Classics

11 - 30 May

Held every year since 1994, the 4MBS Festival of Classics has been recognised as Australia's largest classical music festival.

 

Brisbane International Film Festival

This festival showcases the best film features from Australia & all over the world, with special screenings and special appearances.

 

Brisbane Festival

This huge multi-arts event sees hundreds of events popping up in venues throughout the city, making it THE event of the year.

 

Ambiwerra Festival

Ambiwerra Festival is one of the Brisbane's premier food and wine events at the sport ground at Corinda. Visitors can enjoy a range of gourmet food items and a selection of wines as well as specialty beers with a live musical performance.

 

Royal Queensland Show (Ekka)

1 - 31 August

The Royal Queensland Show (or “Ekka”) is the largest annual event in Queensland. Ekka is a 10-day celebration showcasing the state’s primary industries, export markets, new developments, arts, fashion, cuisine, youth culture and entertainment.

 

River Festival

1 - 30 September

The Riverfestival celebrates with a 10-day programme of entertainment, exhibitions and events. Taking place in various locations around the city, the festival includes everything from live music and theatre to art exhibitions and sporting events including the opening night with spectacular fireworks display over the river.
