Beaches
Broome has
some attractive beaches - there's the 22 km length of
pristine sand and water that is Cable Beach, while Town
Beach in Roebuck Bay has the spectacular “Staircase
to the Moon” phenomenon, when moonlight reflects off
the surface of the water (though it's only visible from
March to October for 3 nights per month).

Gantheaume Point
The point
is noted for the 130 million year old Dinosaur Footprints,
visible only at very low tides. Nearby, the red sandstone
cliffs are spectacular at sunset and a ways further,
there's Anastasia’s Pool, which was built by a former
lighthouse keeper for his arthritic wife.

Chinatown
Broome's
Chinatown is the historic centre of the town's pearl
industry, and now offers everything from historic saloons
to peals showrooms and sidewalk cafes, making it a popular
place for visitors to shop and relax.

Pearl
Farming
Broome's
most famous industry is still running today, and it's
possible for visitors to stop by one of the working
pearl farms to see how the lustrous jewels are made.
