Jazz in the Monster Mine

Burra's Monster Mine crater is a perfect setting to hear one of Australia's foremost musicians. Beccy Cole and her band will have a backdrop of a glistening lake inside the towering walls of the mine that saved the state of South Australia from bankruptcy. While the mine was at one stage the world's wealthiest copper mine, now tourists look at the heritage listed site from high above.

Burra Antique Fair

25 antique dealers from around the state displaying a huge range of antiques and collectables in two venues. All items are for sale, plenty of bargains. Entertainment, cider tastings and sales, live bands.

Balaklava Cup Day

The annual Balaklava Cup is one of the highlights of the thoroughbred racing calendar, and has been held each year since 1904. The Cup attracts entries from across South Australia and is one of the largest sporting events of any type held on an annual basis in country and regional areas of South Australia.
