The Big Banana

Quite literally a statue of a BIG banana, this attraction has drawn curious visitors for over 40 years. Apart from the icon itself, there are other attractions such as an elevated walkway over the banana plantations which are one of the area's major industries, as well as retail outlets.

Muttonbird Island

Just off the coast is this aptly named island, which is home to a growing number of (you guessed it) muttonbirds.

This charming town located in the uplands just a short drive away from Coffs Harbour attracts visitors

Dorrigo National Park

This national heritage status park is a popular retreat for visitors interested in bushwalking in some of Australia's most scenic terrain.

Diving & Whale Watching

There are a number of good diving spots off Coffs Harbour, particularly around the Solitary Islands. In July to October, whale watching attracts many visitors keen on seeing the whales during their migration.
