Champagne Pools
Carved out
over a millenia from the volcanic bedrock, these naturally
created pools are perfect for salt water swimming.

The Maheno Wreck
Once a popular
cruise vessel, the Maheno sank during a storm and was
washed up ashore. Though now a desolate looking shadow
of its former glory, the wreck is still well known as
a landmark and a spooky attraction.

Eli
Creek
The largest
freshwater stream on the eastern coast of the island,
the creek itself is popular for swimming, while the
surrounding area offers many nature walks.

The Cathedrals
These cliffs
are so named because their eroded surfaces resemble
cathedrals, and though the explanation for their unusual
colouring is rather prosaic - iron oxides staining the
sands - the actual sight of them is mightily impressive.

Fraser Island
Great Walk
This 100km
Great Walk allows visitors the option of trekking from
Dilli Village to Lake Garawongera, for an eco-friendly
(and far more intimate) way of exploring the island.

The Pinnacles
Similar
to the Cathedrals but arguably even more spectacular,
the Pinnacles are a popular tourist attraction.
