Wine Tasting
The foremost
wine region of the state is happy to welcome visitors
curious to see their favourite wines being made on-site.
Many wineries offer tours and cellar sales, as well
as restaurants to complement offering dishes to complement
the wines and other local produces, which are almost
as good as the drink.

Mammoth Cave
One of the
biggest (literally) natural attractions in the region,
this cavern 20km south of Margaret river contains fossils
over 35 000 years old, and is a popular attraction not
only for the fossils, but also for the sheer size of
the cave.

Surfing
One of the
most popular surfing spots in the state, there are more
than 40 places to surf, with something to suit all levels
of skills. The area is especially inundated with surfers
during the annual Salomon Margaret River Masters Classic
competition.

Karri Forest
The magnificent
karri trees can reach 60 metres or higher, making them
the third largest trees in the world. A walk or even
drive through these forest giants is a pleasant experience,
especially as they are such a stark contrast to the
surround coastal landscape.
