Near to Wollongong is the Nan Tien Temple, famed as the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern hemisphere and open to the public.

 

Science Centre and Planetarium

A popular attraction with the kids, they'll be occupied for hours with the many hands-on exhibits, the light and laser concerts and other (educational) entertainments.
