Belvedere Palace
The charming Belvedere Palace was built in 1723 a gift for Prince Eugene of Savoy and consists of two buildings, Upper and Lower Belvedere. Apart from the gorgeous architecture and magnificent gardens, the palace is also noted for housing the excellent Österreichische Galerie Belvedere, one of the best art museums in the country.

Stephansdom Cathedral
This is the most famous cathedral in Austria, as well as the city's most beloved landmark and Austria's finest Gothic edifice. Among many other note-worthy events, this is where Mozart was married, and where his funeral was held. The cathedral is also known for the breathtaking view from the top of the tower.

Hofburg Palace
The residence of the Habsburg emperors until 1918, today, the Imperial Palace houses the offices of the Austrian president, an international convention center, the chapel where the Vienna Boys' Choir sings, the hall in which the Lipizzan stallions of the Spanish Riding School perform, various official and private apartments and several museums and state rooms which are open to the public.
