Savour Food & Wine Festival

Atlantic Canada's premiere food and wine festival comes to town with plenty of food samplings, wine tastings, beer swiggings and cooking demonstrations. 

2nd Annual Flamenco Festival

This event celebrates the popular Spanish culture, with guitar and dance demonstrations, film screenings and performances including one by Spain's renowned flamenco sensation, Manual Reyes Maya.

Halifax International Buskers Festival

10 - 18 August

This year's event is entitled `Shows Without Walls' - featuring around 500 street performers from all over the world performing outdoors, out in the open air, without walls.

17th Atlantic Fringe Festival

30 August - 9 September

The largest theatre festival in Atlantic Canada features over 250 performances, 7 stages showcasing over 35 plays and various works from new and established artists from the world over.

27th Atlantic Film  Festival

13 - 22 September

This juried festival showcases contemporary films from Canada and all over the world, with previews, screenings and interviews.

Halifax Pop Explosion

16 - 20 October

This cultural & music festival features the best in the independent music scene and pop culture, with over three days of performances at various locations across town.
