Zhan Bridge
Considered the
symbol of Qingdao, this bridge is decorated with lotus-shaped
lanterns and has an octagonal pavilion nearby for rest-breaks
and a charming view of Qingdao Bay.

Shopping
Qingdao has a number
of shopping areas where visitors can get everything from
original designer goods to fake copies, often for a ridiculously
cheap prices (if you can bargain well). Try Zhongshan Road,
Taidong Pedestrian Street, Jimo Road Small Articles Wholesale
Market or Hong Kong Middle Road.

Xinhao (Signal) Hill
Park
This park is popular
not just as an outdoor recreational area but also for the
panoramic view of Qingdao from Circling Hall.

Mt. Laoshan
The most famous
mountain in Qingdao area for its connections to the birth of
Taoism, Mt Laoshan is popular for day hikes up to the summit.
The lower slopes are also noted for their vegetable farms.

Eight Passes Villas Scenic Area (Badaguan Scenic Area)
One of the most
scenic areas of the city, many of the more imposing civic and
private buildings of the city are located here, most notably the
Huashi building, former home of the president of Kuomintang,
Chiang Kai-shek.
