Place du Capitole
Built in the 18th century,
the Capitole located here houses the City Hall and a Theatre. The Salle
des Illustres features gilt decorations and painted ceilings.

Roman Amphitheatre
The only fairly intact
remains of the Roman city of Tolosa. Scene of gladiatorial battles from
the 1st to the 4th Centuries AD. A museum displays some of the

Aerospace Visits
Toulouse occupies a proud
position as the capital of the French and European Aerospace Industries.
The Airbus factory has an observation tower from which you can
view airbus planes being crafted. At the Cite de l’Espace,
displays of French and Russian achievements in space science are on
display. Aeroport de Blagnac offers a behind-the-scenes tour
known as Touch-and-Go, which takes you to see the maintenance of the
planes and flight instruments in the cockpit.

Toulouse Croissiere (river cruise)
From La Capitole, cruisers embark on a sightseeing cruise down the Garonne, with
views of the Pont Neuf oldest and loveliest of the city bridges, Hotel
Dieu St. Jacques, which was the place of rest for pilgrims, and the St.
Michel Lock an fine example of waterway engineering.

Le Abattoirs
Built in 1831, the building which
was once used as an abattoir was renovated in 1995 into a multi-purpose
arts facility has spaces for stage performances and display exhibits.
Complex also includes cafes and restaurants.
