EuroAirport International AirportTransfer Information

EuroAirport (Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg) International Airport is located about 60 km south of Freiburg.

Buses  –  bus service runs from the airport to Freiburg train station. Buses run every half hour and fair is EUR 5 and up. Travel time is about 60 mins.

Taxis – There is a taxi rank in front of the arrival hall, on both the French and the Swiss side. Fare to Freiburg is about EUR 110 and travel time is about 70 mins.

Zurich International Airport Transfer Information

Zurich International Airport is located about 160 km south of Freiburg.

Rail – Take a train from the train station on the lower level of the airport (look for the word bahnhoff). Take the train to the Zurich Hauptbahnhof, or Central Station. This journey takes about 10 mins and fare is about CHF 8. T

From the central station, take an express ICE train or local RE train Station along the Frankfurt-Mannheim-Karlsruhe-Basel route. Stop at Freiburg (depending on the train you choose, you may need to transfer at Basel). The train runs every hour and journey time is about 2 hours. Fare is upwards of CHF 50, depending on the train chosen. Note: when making train reservations from Zurich to Freiburg, make sure to ask for Freiburg, Germany. There is also a Freibourg in Switzerland (different spelling but same pronunciation).
