Frieburg Cathedral
The dominant feature of the
city's skyline, the 281 foot tower of the Romanesque cathedral is a
visual reminder of how central the cathedral has historically been in
Frieburg's social life. The elegant red sandstone building, with its
stained glass windows and richly decorated interiors, is also one of the
city's best known landmarks.

Cathedral Square Market
As befits a city that has long
been dependent on trade and the produce of the region, the market held in
Cathedral Square is one of its most popular attractions. Here, visitors can
buy the fruits, vegetables and other produce that has made the region a
byword amongst chef for the quality of its cuisine.

Konvikt Street (Konviktstrasse)
Probably the best preserved area
in Freiburg, many of the buildings here retain their ancient facades, making
it a pleasant place for a walk.
