Zugspitze

The tallest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze is popular for both for ski slopes it offers and the spectacular view from the summit. To access either attraction, there is the Zugspitzbahn, a cog railway that clambers up to the Zugspitzplatte plateau, where visitors can transfer to a cable car for the rest of the journey.
