Herrenhäuser Gardens
Over 400 years old, this garden is
one of the main gathering places in the city and showcases water shows,
light shows, plays and many other delightful open-air entertainments.

Painstakingly restored after
the destructive bombing runs of WWII, this building is considered on of
the great architectural masterpieces. It is also noted for a display of
very detailed models, showing the city before, during and after the
bombings.

Lower Saxony State Museum
One of the
most important regional museums in Germany, this institute contains
exhibits on various aspects of the regions' history, from a display of
primitive herbal cures to an impressive art collection.

The Church of Aegidien
Once one of Hannover's most
prominent ecclesiastical buildings, the church was bombed during the War
and noy only its outer walls survive. It has been left as a haunting
ruin as a momoral for the victims of war and violence. |
