Sans Souci Palace

This was the dream palace of Frederick II, a great Prussian King who was an avid supporter of the arts. The grounds are over 1 square miles in size and has as its centerpiece the Palace, with a dome, a grand Marble Hall and a gaily decorated music salon.

Bildergalerie

The picture gallery houses a collection of 125 paintings from the Italian Renaissance, baroque, and also examples of Dutch and Flemish Masters.

Orangerie

Built to house tropical plants through the winter months. It has five decorated salons and a collection of Raphael’s paintings.

Neues Palace

Built after the end of the Seven Years War, it features a Hall of Shells with fossils and semiprecious stones, and the palace theatre, which is still in use for concerts between April and November.

Scloss Cecilienhof

Styled after an English country house, it was the residence of Crown Prince Wilhelm, son of Kaiser Wilhelm II, from 1917 until 1945. It was the site of the historic Potsdam Conference, which was the final summit meeting of the leaders of the World War II allied powers.
