Athens Airport Transfer
Athens International Airport (Spata) — located approximately 27 km from the city.
Airport Buses — Travellers are advised to ask the driver the destination first prior to boarding. The bus service to Syntagma Square is E95, operating between 6 am to midnight at frequencies ranging from 16-30 minutes. Actual arrival time may vary depending upon traffic conditions.
Airport Trains — Metro Line 3 connects to Syntagma and Piraeus (via transfer) and takes about 27 minutes to reach Syntagma. One-way fare is EUR 8 while return fare is EUR 12.
Taxis — From the airport, average taxi fare to the city from the airport is about EUR 15 — EUR 25, and more if you take a taxi in the early hours of the morning. The fare will vary also depending upon traffic, which may result in trips from 30 minutes to more than an hour.
Intercity Trains — Two railway stations serve the city — Peloponnese Station serving the south and Larissa serving the north. You can take a taxi for EUR 3 to town, or Metro trains on line 2.
