The Bahá'í House of Worship

Famously known as the Lotus Temple, the Bahá'í located at Bahapur is definitely a sight to

Address: Bahapur, Kalkaji. By bus: Buses from across northern India arrive at Delhi's three Interstate Bus Terminals, near Kashmiri Gate, at Anand Vihar and    at Sarai Kale Khan.

 


India Gate

A grand structure, which stands high at the end of Rajpath amidst the well manicured lawns

and water fountains carved in sandstone, the area surrounding the Gate is indeed calm, serene

and breathtaking especially at night time when the area is lit with floodlights. As one of the most beautiful places in the city, it has also become a favorite spot for picnics and outings for visitors

Mughal Gardens

Situated in Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India, the Mughal

Gardens has a rich and wide variety of rare flowers and plants in the world. Only open to the

public for a limited period of time every year, it definitely offers a breathtaking view to anyone

who visits.

Open daily from 9.30am to 2.30pm except Mondays (throughout February to March)

Getting Here:

Address: Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate, New Delhi, India. Entrance and exit      to the gardens is only through Gate No. 35 of the President's Estate, which is located near the North Avenue, at the western end of the Church Road.

 


Humayun Tomb

Humayun's Tomb, proclaimed as one of the world's heritage sites, lies in the centre of a lush

green garden is believed to have inspired the construction of the Taj Mahal.

Open on all weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

Entry fee for those above 12 years - Rs. 5. Free entry on Fridays

Getting Here:

Address: East Nijamudin, 5 km (3 mi) southeast of Connaught Place.      Directions: Just a few miles away from the India Gate, on the way to the Nizamuddin railway station.

 


National Museum

With over 2,00,000 works of exquisite art, both of Indian and Foreign origin, The National

Museum covers more than 5,000 years of culture and heritage in its collections of ancient

artifacts, paintings and statues.
