The Emerald
Grotto (Grotta dello Smeraldo)
This cliff-face cavern is
often said (by the locals at any rate) to be beautiful than the better
known Blue Grotto (Grotto Azurra) in Capri. The sunshine shining through
the waters to illuminate the walls of the cave with an emerald glow is
quite a sight, and is best seen at around noon, when the light is at its
brightest.
