Basilica Santuario di Santo Stefano

This legendary worship complex situated in the city is one of the most well-known in Italy. It comprises several holy buildings, built and renovated at various times, such as the Chiesa del Crocifisso, the Chiesa del S. Sepolcro, the Chiesa dei Santi Vitale e Agricola, the Chiesa della Trinita, the Benedictine Cloisters, the Chiesetta della Madonna del Loreto (protector of avaiators), the Chapel of Santa Giuliana and the chapel of the Cross.

Madonna del Baraccano

This magnificent church stands houses an image of the Virgin Mary, attributed to Lippo di Dalmasio.  A beautiful five-arched portico adorns the facade, whilst inside, amidst the baroque deco, two statues stand prominently. There are also frescoes by F. del Cossa, L. Massari, P. Fontana and Lippo di Dalmasio.

Museo di Geologica e Paleontologia

This houses over one million exhibits and is divided into four sections: the antique esction, the fossilised plants section, the fossilised vertebrates section and the fossilised invertebrates section. Also can be found in this museum is a valuable fossil called the Ranina Aldrovandi, named after the famous Bolognese researcher Ulisse Aldrovandi (1522-1605).
