The Castles
The three castles - the Cypress Castle, the Holm-Oak Castle &
the Agaves Castle - were erected in the 12th century as means to
protect the town from pirate raids and attacks. Many townsfolk
had used these castles as a sanctuary against the attacks.
Inside the town walls, the Church of Saint Nicolo was built. |
