Ye Olde Smokehouse
One of the most famous
landmarks in Camerons is this mock-Tudor resthouse, which is indelibly
tied to the days when the British came to Camerons to escape the muggy
heat of the lowlands. The lounge is popular for its collection of
memorabilia from the British era, and afternoon tea and scones is
a very popular meal here.

Tea Plantations
The Cameron's most famous
produce is the tea grown in the plantations covering the slopes of
the highlands, in particular the famous Boh plantation. Visitors can
visit the factories where the tea is made, and of course stop by in
the shops to sample the produce.

Jungle Trekking
One of the main reasons
for coming to Cameron Highlands is to enjoy the cool mountain air,
and one of the best ways to do that is to take a walk in the lush
highland forests which still cover some parts of Cameron.

|
Stawberry Farm
Malaysia's only source
of fresh strawberries year-round - the fertile soil allows the farm
to put out four crops a year! Visitors are welcome to wander the fields
and pluck their own juicy strawberries (for a fee of course), though
January is usually the best time for picking.

Brinchang Mountain Road
For lovely views of the
Highlands and the surrounding lowlands, take the winding Sungai Palas
Estate road that leads up Gunung Brinchang, which at over 6000 feet
is the highest road in the country.
|
|
|
Robinson's Waterfall
This rather charming waterfall
is a popular recreational spot for most locals, being one of the highest
altitude falls most people in the country will ever visit.
|
|
|
Butterfly Farm and Garden
For those who love the
flash and colour of butterflies, this is a lovely place to go, as
it houses some of the most spectacular specimens in butterfly-rich
Malaysia, including the Raja Brooke butterfly.

|
|
Flower Nurseries
The cool weather in Camerons
is perfect for growing a huge variety of flowers which couldn't be
cultivated anywhere else in Malaysia. The flower farms make for lovely
splashes of colour against the dark green background of the
rainforests.
|
|
|
Rose Garden
Lovers of the rose will
appreciate this particular attraction, where over 200 types of roses
are cultivated, ranging from the Kiss of Fire, to the Alpine Sunset
to Lovely Lady. There's even the rare Green Rose!
