Taman Duta

Taman Duta is essentially one of the most prestigious and expensive neighbourhoods in Kuala Lumpur. The hilly terrain is the choice location for the city’s upper class families that include business tycoons, professionals and politicians. Properties in this exclusive and private area retail in the millions and if you were to take a drive through one of its narrow lanes, you will be greeted by large bungalows and villas that are pretty much hidden behind imposing gates. Some are even as big as palaces with towering structures that climb over the tallest trees.

Taman Duta does not have any restaurants or entertainment outlets and it certainly doesn’t need to have any. Aside from being an exclusive neighbourhood, it is close to many happening locales such as Bangsar, Damansara Heights and Sri Hartamas. The city centre is just a 10-minute drive and with a number of road networks, namely Jalan Duta, Jalan Kuching and Jalan Semantan, getting around are relatively easy.

If you are looking for a place to stay in the vicinity of Taman Duta, fret not. Check out Duta Vista Executive Suites, a three star hotel located close to the residential area and just minutes away from the city centre. Set in a lush surrounding, the hotel offers comfortable accommodations that come with fully equipped cooking facilities and standard amenities. The suites are from RM210 (USD60), which is a pretty reasonable rate for a place that is near to the city yet offers privacy and solitude.
