Bukit Jambul Orchid, Hibiscus & Reptile Garden

This two-hectare park is home to an amazing variety of plants and animals, some of which are unique in this part of the world.

 

 

Details

Opening Hrs:

9.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. daily with last entry being at 5.30 p.m. Snake shows are   on twice every Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, at 11.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m.

Pricing:

RM10.00 adults & RM5.00 children. RM1 charge for camera usage.

Penang Hill

At its peak of 800m above sea level, take in breathtaking views of the terrain and its surroundings, and for fabulous views of Georgetown City, take a half-hour cable ride up from the Air Hitam railway station, which is in itself quite an experience.

Cable train ride return tickets are at MYR4 for adults and MYR2 for children.

Penang Butterfly Farm

This butterfly farm is sanctuary to an stunning population of 4,000 Malaysian butterflies from

120 different species, including some very rare and famous ones, like the Indian Leaf (Kallima Paralekta) and the endangered Yellow Birdwing (Troides Helena).

Bukit Mertajam Recreational Forest

Immerse yourself in lush, green surroundings and melodic birdsongs in this protected nature conserve also known as `Bukit Ubat' or `Medicine Hill' as some swears to its medicinal properties after hikinh through its trails. Other features to look out for crystal-clear streams, a soothing waterfall and viewing platforms where one can catch a glimpse of nearby town Kulim.

Tropical Fruit Farm

The 25-acre orchard has over 250 different species of fruit trees from the region and around the world including Central and South America, Central Africa, India, the Middle East, the Caribbean

and the Pacific Islands, where visitors can sample all types of local fruits, whilst taking the view

of the breathtaking orchard.
