Nanyang Wushu Golden Lion Dance Festival

Mukah Kaul Festival

World Harvest Festival

Gawai Festival

This festival is celebrated by the Dayak tribe of Sarawak to mark the end of the harvets season. Visitors are largely welcomed.

Kuching Festival

A month-long festival aimed to promote the culture and arts of Sarawak, with activities such as exhibitions, food fairs, parades and competitions.

 

Kuching Street Parade

4 August

A parade of brightly-decorated floats as well as a procession of colourful lanterns in various forms and shapes take centrestage followed by inter-secondary school drama competitions.

 

50 Years of Nationhood Merdeka Celebrations

31 August

Malaysians from all over the country get together to celebrate this historic event commemorating the country's 50th foray into the state of independence, marked with a host of activities including parades, exhibitions and fireworks displays.

 

Sarawak Regatta

1 - 2 September

An annual boat-race tournament held at Kuching Waterfront.
