Kuala Terengganu Central
Market
Located in the heart of
Kuala Terengganu, this two storey market is known for its wide and
cheap variety of foods, local handicrafts and all the other odds and
ends of everyday life. For locals, it is best known for being a very
good source of local Terengganu culinary specialties such as nasi
dagang. For foreigners who may be squeamish at trying local foods
(especially when overlooking a wet market), it's still a good place
for some local colour.

Bad Stone Beach (Pantai Batu Buruk) and the Cultural Centre (Gelanggang
Seni)
Pantai Batu Buruk is a
popular beach with the locals (though do note that the dress requirements
for Terengganu beaches are significantly more modest). Visitors curious
about the local culture can visit the nearby Cultural Center, where
you can try your hand at traditional games and pastimes every day.

Just five minutes by boat
from the Kuala Terengganu waterfront, this island is famous for its
master boat-builders, who specialize in hand-made wooden crafts, mostly

boats from the builders here, whom you can watch while they work.
If you can afford it, you can even order one yourself!
