Beaches
The beaches of
Tioman are the main attraction of the island, all of them
offering wide, clean and washed by clear, warm waters and most
also throwing in watersports activities such as swimming,
snorkelling and diving, and high-quality resorts into the
bargain. There's Air Bintang, and Salang on the west coast, and
the quieter Juara on the east. Even at the height of the tourist
season, there are stretches of completely empty sands to enjoy.
Do note that June to August is high season for good reason -
during November to January, the monsoon rains practically empty
the island of tourists.
