This market offers a more relaxed, peaceful atmosphere, selling local produce from

home-made pickles to handicrafts.

The Islamic Centre

The most vivid architectural landmark of Male, the centre symbolizes the importance of Islamic religion in the country, consisting of a mosque big enough for 5000 people, an Islamic library, conference hall, classrooms and offices.

The National Museum

This three-storey colonial-style building houses an impressive collection of artefacts from the

past and relics of war, amongst others, offering an insight into the rich and fascinating history
