Mediterraneo Marine Park

A popular theme park for families, where visitors can see everything from dolphins to penguins.

Spinola Bay

Picturesque Spinola Bay is still used by fishermen whose traditional boats are housed just below

the restaurants. The bay is particularly attractive at night and as a venue for open-air dining.

The elegant Spinola Palace, built in 1658 by an Italian knight, Giovanni Spinola, is the landmark historic building on the bay.

 


Fort Rinella

Located nearby in Kalkara, this magnificent British coastal fort was built in the last quarter of

the 19th century and is noted for having the largest cannon ever built, weighing 100 tons.

Historical re-enactments are provided from Monday to Saturday at 14.30 hrs     and guided tours in English and Maltese are also available.

Getting Here:

Bus no. 4 from Valletta will take you to Rinella which is only a few minutes away.

The Malta Experience Show

Blue Grotto

The most famous cave in Malta, it is known as Il-Hnejja in Maltese. Visitors take a boat into the grotto beneath the massive arch; the cave itself is best seen in the early morning light.
