Caves of Mount St. Pieter
Quarrying work for
the marl stones for buildings over the years have left thousands of
passages in the rock. Used as shelter during the many sieges endured by
Maastricht through the years, it now offers a unique landmark for
visitors today. The cold temperatures of about 9-10 degrees Celsius here
means that you ought to bring along warm clothing.
