The Skytower

The Sky Tower is the perfect place to begin sightseeing of Auckland. A ride to the top of the

tower enables visitors to experience an amazing 360 degree view of Auckland and its

surrounding areas. At 328 metres Sky Tower is the tallest tower in the Southern Hemisphere, offering breath-taking views for more than 80 kilometres in every direction.

Cornwall Park - One Tree Hill

One Tree Hill, which is located in Cornwall Park is the second highest volcanic peak in Auckland, next to Mount Eden, where the top of the hill offers a spectacular view of the city. At the top is

an Obelisk, unveiled in 1940 - the Centennial year of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi,

and intended as a tribute to the Maori people.

Kelly Tarltons Antartic Encounter & Underwater World

The Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World is an amazing visitor experience, with an excellent

underwater tunnel allowing visitors to feel as if they are in the middle of the wide ocean

being surrounded by sharks, stingrays and other kinds of marine life.

Auckland Zoo

Close to a thousand animals all around the world are housed at the Auckland Zoo, by recreating

the animal's natural habitat. New Zealand's native species are represented to the tune of 10%,

in particular the hard-to-see national bird, the kiwi, in a nocturnal enclosure, as well as the

Tuatara - the most famous national lizard-cum-dinosaur.

New Zealand National Maritime Museum

This museum pays tribute to the island nation's documenting 1000 years of maritime history.

With almost a millennium of history dated back since the arrival of Maori and European settlers,

to the 2000 America's Cup, the museum's displays also showcases the first freezer ships used

to export farm produce (sheep and dairy products) to Europe, and the invention of the jet boat.
