Southland Museum and Art Gallery
This museum chronicles the
history of the Southland, from the time of the Maoris to the arrival of
the Pakeha presence. The art galleries showcase works by local Kiwi
artists. One of the most popular displays in the museum is Henry - a 123
year old Tuatara in the Tuatarium who's still going strong today!

Like many cities in New
Zealand, Invercargill is proud of its park, which offers a beautiful,
pleasant recreational place for the city residents. With a rose garden,
aJapanese garden, a wildlife sanctuary, an aviary and even a golf
course, not to mention the lakes, lawns, winding paths and other
facilities, it's no wonder it's a popular attraction.
