48th Krakow Film Festival

30 May – 5 June
The oldest film festival in Poland, this event brings together the best in Polish cinema.

 

The Great Dragon Parade - Wawel Dragon Day

7 - 8 June
Brass bands, dancers, and dozens of dragons created by the city's youth parade through Main Market Square in front of thousands of spectators. Elsewhere, and open-air show, games, competitions and activities attract large crowds, and a fireworks and light show tops off the day.

 

XI Opera Viva Festival

Krakow Opera house resounds to the powerful vocals of some of the most prominent opera singers in Poland and beyond.

 

Krakow International Street Theatre Festival

Four days of theatre performances take place in the old town market square of Krakow.

'Wianki' Wreath Festival

21 June

This traditional open-air festival takes place on the banks of the Wisła before the Wawel Castle.

Summer Jazz Festival

5 July - 3 August

Series of daily concerts featuring renowned jazz musicians from Poland and abroad. The festival is opened by a New Orleans Jazz Parade along Floriańska Street to the Main Market Square.
