Portela International Airport Transfer
Portela International Airport — 7 km from Lisbon city centre.
Car — Motorists can reach the airport by following the A1 Motorway, exiting at the beginning of the 2nd Circular.
Bus — Bus no. 91 runs daily from 7:45am to 8:45pm between the airport and city centre. Tickets can be purchased on board and is valid for a day and for any other ride within the bus, tram and downtown elevators network. Baggage is carried free of charge. Fare is about EUR2.50; a three-day pass is about EUR5.70. Other buses running between the airport and the city are buses No. 5, 22, 44, 45 and 83. Fare is about EUR1. Journey time is about 10 mins.
Taxis — Taxi ranks are located outside the arrivals and departures halls. Fares within the city perimeter appear on the meter at the end of the ride. Outside the city perimeter, fares are charged per kilometer. A surcharge is levied for baggage. Note that highway tolls (both ways) are charged to the passenger and that the meter must state EUR1.80 (day) or EUR2.15 (night) at the beginning of the ride. Fare is about EUR10.
Trains — The closest station to the airport is the Gare do Oriente, the transport hub. Passengers can take bus no.5 or a taxi from the airport to reach the station. Alternately, An AERO-BUS runs between the airport and the Cais do Sodré train station every 20 minutes from 7am to 9pm. The fare is EUR2.45. The Intercity train runs to throughout Lisbon.
