The major cultural festival is a longrunning tradition in Riyadh, and celebrates the Saudi culture with performances, feasts, camel races and other entertaining activities.

Riyadh Festival for Shopping and Leisure

A new, but promising festival, this event is aimed at drawing in and entertaining families on their summer holidays, and includes everything from special performances to a grand sale in the city's shopping malls.

Eid-ul Fitri

8 - 17 October

The whole of Saudi Arabia goes en fete at the end of Ramadan, with practically all businesses closing down and many families going on holiday.
