Tourist Attraction in Saudi
Arabia
Saudi
Arabia is a desert country known for its Islamic religion, holy
mosques and overseas workers. It is also a land where gold is cheap
and the major exporting business is petroleum. But this kingdom is
not just all about business and religion. Just like any other
country, Saudi Arabia has also a lot of must-see scenic spots that
tourist should go to during their visit to Saudi.
Riyadh is the capital city of Saudi Arabia. It has been one
of the fastest rising cities in the whole world. The perfect
ambiance of modernization and religion blends well in this city of
abundant resources. It's not difficult to get around to other places
in Saudi Arabia when you are in Riyadh. Along with its high rise
buildings, Riyadh has excellent highways, railways and airport that
would easily connect tourists to the other places in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Balad is Saudi Arabia's local word for downtown. In this
place, known as the soul of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia's second largest
city), lies a unique cultural experience. This is where you can see
an admirable combination of modern architecture and historical
structures. Be sure to prepare your camera for the picturesque old
buildings and houses. Be mesmerized with the surroundings and feel
the "Old Jeddah" ages ago. Don't forget to visit the mosque that was
made in 700AD.
Masjid
Al Haram is also known as the Haram Mosque. Masjid Al Haram is
the heart of the religion located in the Holy City of Mecca. Haram
means "sanctuary". Being the main worship place for Muslims all over
the world, nobody should make violent actions anywhere within the
area of Mecca and non-Muslims are not allowed. The Kaaba, Islam's
holiest shrine, is placed at the center of the Masjid Al Haram’s
courtyard.
King's Fountain is Jeddah's major landmark since 1980.
Because the fountain can reach up to 312 meters, it was listed in
the Guinness World Records to be the highest in the world. It was
King Fahad bin Abdul Aziz who gave Jeddah this magnificent fountain
and so the landmark was coined after his majesty.
Masjid An-Nabi has popular names like Al-Madina, An-Nabi,
Prophet's Mosque and City of the Prophet. As of today, it is now
simply called as Medina. After Masjid Al Haram, this is the next
holiest place for Muslims. It is built by the prophet Muhammad.
Since two of the most sacred places for Muslims are located in Saudi
Arabia, the country is also known as "The Land of Two Holy Mosques".
Taif is a resort, located on the cliff above Mecca where
there is a milder climate than the rest of the country. It has been
the summer capital of Saudi Arabia for such a long time. The pink
palaces and unique winding roads on the cliff would really catch the
attention of the tourists.
Visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia so that you can learn more about
the country.
