Chinese New Year Light-up (Chinatown Lunar New Year Celebrations )

19 January - 24 February

With a focus on the Year of the Dog, Chinatown will be transformed into a colorful playground showcasing all the animals in the Chinese calendar with prominence given to the Dog. The festive street bazaar from the 7 to 28 Jan also promises to deliver a wide range of festive goodies like waxed duck, barbecued sweet meats, cookies and other new year accessories.

 

M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2007

16 January - 27 February

This annual festival of performance arts & theatre presents the best of contemporary works by local & international artistes, with a different theme each year.
 

Thaipusam

Celebrated during the full moon in the Hindu month of Thai, Thaipusam is the most dramatic of all Hindu festivals. It is a day

of fasting, thanksgiving and consecration as well as an intense show

of faith where the Hindu devotees go on a three-kilometre trek with ritualistic act of worship and thanksgiving.

 

Sentosa Flowers - Rhythm of Bloom

'Sentosa Flowers 2006' presents a unique floral and botanical extravaganza during Spring time on the tropical resort island of Sentosa. At this time of the year, Sentosa's Fountain Gardens will be transformed into a visual feast estimated to be more than 2 million blooms.

 

Good Vibrations  Festival 2008

Chingay Parade of Dreams

The Chingay Parade is held traditionally each year during the Lunar New Year exhibiting Singapore's rich multi-cultural heritage. Touted

as Asia's grandest street and floats parade, the Chingay Parade mesmerizes visitors with a myriad of colorful floats and performances focusing on the garden city's rich culture and heritage.

 

Singapore Fashion Festival 2008

28 March - 6 April

This festival features the best trend-setting looks from luxury designer brands, high-street fashion and local labels, with designs from world-renowned international designers gracing the runways. Also included are promotions & special deals, exhibitions, parties and plenty other happening events around town!
 

World Gourmet Summit 2008

7 - 26 April

Co-organised by Singapore Tourism Board, this gastronomic affair sees the city transformed into a gastronomic heaven where international master-chefs and winemakers presents the perfect unison of fine dining, fine cuisine and fine wine.
