A relatively new phenomenon is South Africa, Cape Town's pride celebrations are the country's most exciting events of the kind. There are dozens of activities planned during the ten day long festivities, but undisputed main attraction is the grand and colourful parade at the end of the event - and the after-party!

Cape Town International Jazz Festival (North Sea International Jazz Festival)

30 - 31 March

One of the biggest jazz festivals in the world, and the biggest in South Africa, local and international jazz musicians journey to Cape Town to perform during this mega music extravaganza.

Cape Argus Cycle Tour

11 March

One of the great cycle tours of the world, and now a tradition in South Africa, this event draws thousands of participants from around the world to take part in a timed race around the cape.

Two Oceans Marathon

7 April

This popular, long running sports endeavour regularly attracts tens of thousands of spectators to Cape Town to cheer the thousands of determined racers who take part every year.
