Plattenberg Bay is famed in
South Africa for its beautiful, wide, golden beaches and the clear
waters of the Indian Ocean, making it a perfect retreat for beach
lovers.

Plettenberg Bay is one of
the best places in South Africa to see whales, as it lies on the
migration path of both the southern right whales and the humpback
whales. Whale-watching cruises are popular attractions, and during the
off-season, there are dolphin-watching cruises as well.

Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary
This newly opened theme park
is the world's first free-roaming primate sanctuary, and is an amazing
place to witness monkeys in their natural, free state. This is one of
the most popular attractions in the Pletterberg Bay area.

Monkeyland is free, however there is a fee for the guided
safaris. Note that these guided safaris are open ended which
