Hercules' Tower (Torre de Hercules)
Europe's oldest extant
lighthouse, this elegant tower is also the city's most famous landmark.
Originally built by the Roman, it assumed its present form in the 18th
century and today, apart from its work keeping passing ships safe, it
also offers a lovely ocean view from the summit.

Promenade along
La Marina
Unlike most other seaside
promenades, La Coruna's promenade is lined with a series of galerias, or
glass enclosed balconies which were designed to protect strollers from
the strong winds blowing off the sea.
