Valencia Marathon

The race begins at Avenida Pia Barojo and finishes
at the nearby Athletics Stadium. This marathon is
run over a fairly flat course around a circuit which
darts between the central area, the suburbs and the
seaside with long stretches along the banks of the
Turia River.

March
Fallas are wood and cardboard monuments set up all
around town, to be burned down on the Night of Fire.

Semana Santa
(Holy Week)

Colourful religious processions, with hooded men in
tall pointed hats. The maritime district has its own
distinct Holy Week Customs, with members of the
confraternities in processions carrying statues of
their saints.

brought out on a procession with huge crowds of
supporters.
