Erawan Shrine

Erected by the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, this popular shrine built in the 1950s is devoted to Brahma and Erawan, his elephant. Traditional dances are often performed in the open-air pavilion.

Wat Pho

The infamous 200 year-old Temple of the Reclining Buddha is also Bangkok's largest, its highlight feature being the fantastic gold-plated reclining Buddha, 46 meters long and 15 meters high, with three meters long mother of pearl inlaid feet.
