In May, the best part of India to visit would be Bangalore and its surrounding south due to the heat wave that normally occurs in the northern region including New Delhi. Renowned as the Garden City and IT City of India, Bangalore is very appealing in attractions, climate and atmosphere. MG Road is the hub of the city and getting to any place, even by foot, is easiest found from there. Shopping tourists must visit Commercial Street and Brigade Road; the former encompassing clothes, shoes, jewellery and more, and the latter to get your fashion statement and terrific people-watching spot. Bangalore Mall, Forum and Garuda Mall are all within walking distance. For a relaxed evening stroll, one can choose either Cubbon Park or Lalbagh Garden, or both if one has the time. Last year we went to South Africa, not knowing what to expect when we get there, since this was our 1st time there. We were in the Limpopo Region. It was a very friendly place. All the people were very warm. They treated you like you have been friends forever. On our arrival back to the airport, we were having coffee, waiting for our plane. We had an African Government Official come up to us. He asked where we were from and what our purpose there was. We told him we were on vacation. We asked why he was asking us. He said he wanted to be sure the Americans were treated well in their country. We went back this year in May and were treated like we were long lost friends. Singapore is a country I recommend worth visiting. The country has good links of transportation (MRT, buses) and the information provided is so clear and user friendly. I must also compliment the punctuality of the buses and MRT (you will be very surprised and get impressed..). And traveling around was made very comfortable with the cleanliness of the city. The toilet papers, soaps and water in the toilet of the shopping mall or even in the MRT station never gets run out. The people is also very friendly, but be careful, they are all very good in many languages. Do not backstab or reveal yourself too much in front of strangers because they can understand you well in your language...To get a clear picture of the culture of Singaporean, you can visit Singapore on weekend. A holiday in Vabbinfaro, Maldives was just paradisiacal. Cast away
on a secluded coral atoll, my husband and I experienced a sense of
magic and romance as we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at
the tranquility of Banyan Tree Resort. The beach was just at our
door step and we were lullabied by the waves of the Indian ocean.
The water in the Indian Ocean is as clear as crystal and we swam in
between beautiful sea creatures. There were only a handful people on
the island. A holiday in Maldives is ideal for anyone who wants a
great getaway. It is indeed heaven on earth and a sanctuary for the
senses. You will recall dreams forgotten and marvel at the
magnificent splash of stars in the night. In short, you will find
paradise at Vabbinfaru, Maldives.
Jaen, an Andalucian city in the middle of olive-growing country
about one hour from Granada and two from the Costa del Sol, is a
treasure largely ignored (or downplayed) by the tourbooks and travel
guides as having little to offer of interest. Not so. It has
everything from fine food to a great museum and a first rate Parador
high above the city. The old city itself has tapas bars to compare
with the best anywhere in Spain--and the cost of staying there is
relatively inexpensive. It can be reached best by automobile or bus,
but there is also train service on a regular basis.
The Great Barrier Reef is world famous, but some of the Reef islands
can be exclusive - and expensive! My tip is to stay south of Cairns,
and try Magnetic Island, just 8 km off Townsville. It's the island
Time forgot, with friendly, laid-back locals and a village-like
atmosphere. A narrow road winds around the island to deserted white
beaches, beautiful, rugged bushland and stunning views. It's
peaceful - no discos or shopping malls; true island lifestyle with a
few good restaurants and lively backpacker accommodation. But it
won't last! right now the big resorts are moving in, and Magnetic
Island is hot property. Go now!
Hotel Armada A 4-star rated hotel in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. It has
got a superb surrounding. It is so much of a convenient to get to
Midvalley Megamall, the largest shopping mall on the other side to
get to Klang, Selangor for cheap and fantastic Indian Fabrics,
Sarees and Punjabi suits. I just feel that staying in Armada make
your life so much easier to travel around Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam
and Klang. It is worth the price you pay for the hotel for it's
hospitality, food and peace.

I would like to recommend Bintan lagoon to all readers. A calm,
relaxing time with fine dinning at kelong for those who need a break
for their stressful life in Singapore. Over there, you can find
beautiful beaches; when you get into the clear & clean water, you
can still see yourself, unlike Singapore beaches where you can only
see dirt from the beach. A very cozy and quiet place, where you can
actually relax and think about your dreams. Not forgetting the
kelong fresh & cheap seafood. I supposed that's every seafood lovers
favourites cos Singaporean seafood are extremely expensive!!! Not
been there before then.....U GOT TO GO THEN!!!
Visit Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan Malaysia: beautiful beaches
and delicious, spicy seafood, and a variety of cuisines from many
different cultures and races, all in one spot.
Maui Hawaii is the most beautiful place to go and the best place to
play golf is the kapalua plantation coarse but its expensive. if you
go to Weihau you play a round of golf for 5-7 bucks on a coarse
right by the water!
Ocean City, Maryland: This place has an excellent beach, there is a
boardwalk and a mini amusement park along the boardwalk. You have a
choose of riding the bumper boats or going go-kart racing, there is
just so much to do. And the best feature is that the area is not
congested with many tourists; if you just want to enjoy a quiet walk
on the beach or along the boardwalk, you can.
Leyte Park Beach Resort, Marabut E. Samar is the place for unwinding
and you can see fish with clear water and eat freshly grilled fish.
Enjoy the kayaking and scuba diving here. You’ll see beautiful
scenes here, no pollution just natural beauty!
Penang is a beautiful place for you to enjoy your holiday,
especially the Gurney Drive and the hawker stalls in front the
Sunway hotel.
Pulau Lang Tengah, Malaysia. If you're looking for a quiet place to
spend some quality time together with someone special, this is the
place for you. Just like Pulau Redang, this island have got some
stunning beaches but the difference is this island has got less
crowd.
Pangkor Island ! I feel Pangkor is a very beautiful island.It's very
relaxing and the waters are clean. The recommended stay is Coral Bay
Resort and the hotel is neary all the shops and restaurants and the
people around there are very friendly. Pangkor !
Great place to spend week-end after hard business and place to
unwind: Bintan at the Nirwana Gardens, Mayang Sari Beach Resort;
your own place on the beach to stay, listen to the waves, peaceful,
watch the sunset and eat great food, a place to recharge.
Pulau Lang Tengah is among the most beautiful island in Malaysia.
Open for visiting from Mar to Oct every year, the white sandy
beaches with a flour-like feel is the perfect spot for relaxation
and de-stressing from your everyday, hectic schedule. Take some time
to join the resort's snorkeling activities - the exotic corals and
fishes visible through crystal clear waters will amaze you. And if
you are lucky enough, you might just bump into one or two turtles
looking for food near the island. When night falls, enjoy the
peaceful sounds of the ocean as you stroll along the long stretch of
beach. This is a place not to be missed if you visit Malaysia.
My husband and I have just returned from Budapest. What a great
town! Stayed at the Fortuna Boat Hotel. Small room but great staff,
a wonderfully unusual restaurant and a nice breakfast. Had the
romantic dinner for 2. Excellent food and service here in Hungary.
Many nice restaurants are within walking distance in Buda and Pest.
We walked around in both halves of the city and took in many great
sights. We also bought plenty of handmade gifts. We are already
planning our return trip and I can't wait for some more goulash
soup!!! PS Very reasonable prices still.
Spent a wonderful weekend at the Charville Hotel in the Rathmines
area of Dublin, courtesy of HolidayCity. The Hotel is now called the
Days Hotel. One tip is to get the local buses (16a or 16c) to and
from the airport to the city centre. They are much cheaper then the
airport express buses (1.65 Euros as opposed to 5-6 Euros) and you
do see more of the outskirts of the city along the way.
Hong Kong is ideal for family fun because there are theme parks for
thrills, nature walks through the hills, quaint islands to explore
not forgetting shopping galore!
Kristiansand in Norway in the (European) summer is great. This is a
cozy town in the south that has a nice atmosphere in the summer.
Only 2,5 hour with ferry to Denmark. Attend the Quart festival,
which is a big music festival in the beginning of july, with stars
like Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, Foo Fighters etc. and also some
Norwegian bands. Sail around the south coast and the small islands
and fish/swim. Also discover the picturesque nature on the mainland.
I just got back from a fabulous vacation in Phuket. I'm sure that
many say, "yeah, well, what's the big deal? It's only Phuket" But
the truth is that Phuket is a shadow of what it was.
Besides being a "fine" country (eg you get fined for littering,
spitting, eating or drinking on the MRT ), Singapore can be known as
a country with many acronymns eg CTE, BKE, SLE,MRT, LTA, HDB, PUB
etc. Want to find out the answers ? Come to Singapore and unravel
the mystery! Be treated to a unique experience of its multi-racial
society, food, festivals and great shopping sales all year round.
Don't worry as you won't get lost in Singapore as English is
commonly spoken by Singaporeans. You will find that Singaporeans
have a kind heart and a sense of humour and they will help you find
your way around.

we have met here!
When I say Goa all that one can picture in miles and miles on
picturesque beaches BUT that's not only it! There are several
beautiful churches in Goa and if you are an architecture lover you
can spend hours admiring them. There is the Mangeshi Temple which
apart from having religious significance for the Hindus is a
beautiful piece of creation. Dona paula is worth a visit. Goa is
famous for dirt cheap alcohol. As a matter of fact many say that
mineral water is costlier than alcohol! And finally Goan food! Don't
even get me started....it is a must try for anyone in Goa!
Bali has many beautiful
beaches, that's already known. But have you ever try Bangka and
Belitung Islands? They have many "pure" and "natural" beaches, and
cheaper prices.
If you want to travel and feel you are living in the future, visit
Beijing, China. You see most of the signboards there stating
“Beijing 2008”, a reference to it being host of the next summer
Olympic Games. Memorabilia pertaining to the Games are being sold
now, so one has time, well before the anticipated huge crowd gather,
to shop leisurely for Olympic souvenirs.
While staying with our daughter in Gothenburg, we were fortunate to
stay just one night at the Bagge Guest-house on the island of Branno.
It is a charming guesthouse built in the fashion of a
turn-of-the-century villa. The island of Branno is easily reached by
ferry from Saltholmen, and the journey is a beautiful experience in
itself. On Branno no cars are allowed, except for a bus and
thousands of bicycles. The houses and gardens are all delightful,
and there are beautiful walks to the shore in several directions,
none of them too demanding. Breakfast in the Bagge is
Scandinavian-lavish and included in the package tour. Visit the
common lands, where sheep and cattle graze and crops are grown. A
serene place!
I have discovered a nice island off Pulau Tioman, Malaysia. It's
called Monkey Island. Because heaps of friendly monkeys reside
there. The sand is white and the water is crystal clear, ideal for
snorkeling. Its so quiet and isolated. Its a hidden paradise!
