Holst Birthplace
The Holst Birthplace
Museum is a small, independent charitable trust that celebrates
the life of composer Gustav Holst (1874-1934). Founded in 1974
by Holst's daughter Imogen and saved from closure by the people
of Cheltenham in 1999, the museum provides visitors of all ages
unique access to the story of Holst's life and work as well as
insight into Victorian social history. |

Pittville Pump Room
The jewel of
Cheltenham’s Regency architecture, the Pump Room is the grandest
survival of the town’s many spa buildings. Overlooking the
sweeping lawns and ornamental lakes of Pittville Park it is the
perfect place to step back in time.

St Mary’s Church
The Parish Church,
dating from the mid 11th century, is Cheltenham’s oldest
building – but appropriately bearing the royal coat of arms
commemorating George III’s visit in 1788. Features include 14th
century window tracery and a broach spire, a large rose window,
a canopied piscina, baptistery with lierne vaulting and many
interesting memorials

Sandford Parks Lido
One of the largest
outdoor pools in the country, set in landscaped gardens within
Sandford Park. The 50 metre main pool as well as a childrens’
pool and paddling pool are heated to over 70 degrees.
Basketball, volleyball and table tennis are also available – all
included in the entrance charge. Light refreshments are
available at the poolside cafe.
