Portland International Film Festival

9 - 24 February

This festival celebrates international film works from various countries worldwide throughout Portland. The festival, which is presented by Northwest Film Center's Guild Theater, generally begins in February and runs for three weeks.

St. Patrick's Day Street Fair

15 - 31 March

Irish descendants celebrate the day with traditional Irish vigour, Celtic music, song and dance and exhibitions. Kells Irish Restaurant and Pub is the epicenter of the activities, serving in Irish coffees and whiskeys.

Cinco de Mayo

6 May

Festival-goers celebrate Mexico's Independence Day on Portland's waterfront with a marketplace offering art and food, music performances and plenty of excitement in one of the biggest Cinco de Mayo celebrations in the country.

Portland Rose Festival

5 - 11 June

Portland's showcase event takes place in June as the roses kick into full bloom, with sports activities, a Grand Floral Parade, fireworks, rides, exhibitions and water-based events.

Oregon Brewers          Festival

26 - 29 July

Brewers from all around the USA and Canada invite you to taste their beer - whether you prefer lager or ale, sweet or bitter, you're likely to find your favourite tipple here. With plenty of live music and food, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.

Bite of Oregon

10 - 12 August

Three hot August days filled with fireworks, entertainment and plenty of great food offered by the best restaurants in town.

Festa Italiana

18 - 26 August

This festival acts as a tribute to the colourful world of Italian cuisine and entertainment, transforming the city's square into a ten-restaurant food court, offering all sorts of culinary delights.

Art in the Pearl Arts Festival

Labour Day weekend (1 - 3 September)

This craft fair held every Labour weekend celebrates art Portland-style, with more than 100 booths offering paintings, pottery, crafts and a wide selection of ethnic dishes and live performances.

ZooLights Festival

25 November - 31 December

The Oregon Zoo comes alive during the holiday season with thousands of Christmas lights, music performed by local choirs and costumed characters, plus plenty of engaging activities for the children.

Peacock Lane Christmas Lights

15 - 31 December

Since the 1920s, the residents of this quaint southeast area has kept the tradition of decorating their houses with beautiful sparkling lights, nativity scenes, rotating Christmas trees and stunningly lifelike replicas of popular characters for the holiday season.
